Lifting engineer uses planner software to create rigging and lifting plans and justify safe to go. While Lifting Supervisor roles and responsibilities are:
- Coordinate and supervise all lifting activities in accordance with the Lifting Plan.
- Brief all lifting team members on the Lifting Plan, risk control measure and safe lifting procedure before the commencement of any lifting operation.
- Ensure the ground conditions are safe for any lifting operation to be performed by mobile cranes.
- Be present during all lifting operations
- Ensure that crane operators conduct daily checks of their assigned lifting machines and appliances prior to the start of their work-shift
- Check the validity of lifting machine certificate by Approved Person and maintenance inspection program.
